Never forget to be a child.

I have just come back from Geovation 2018. I was waiting for that moment because it is related to my Global Design Future topic. More details about this event (maybe) in next post (because the post submission deadline is coming !!!)

Now, I would like to introduce why was I so curious about the Conference. It comes from my family story ...

Everything started one day when my Mum went for a walk with my older sister Ania. She was three years old at the time. It was in the late eighties, and my Mom noticed that there was nowhere to play for children safely. She decided to change it. That’s why this year our family business which has been producing, designing and distributing playground equipment has the 25th anniversary of its existence. Always smile comes on my face when I think that I have been involved in our family business life since I was seven days old. I cheered my parents lying in a basket on their desk. So for obvious reasons, I chose this topic.

The GDF unit is an excellent pretext to explore, change perspective and look more wide for my areas of interest. Sometimes everyday work doesn’t allow me to reflect on that in a futuristic way. Same thought about finding out five new trends in creating public/recreation / our spaces is thrilling. Additionally, a desire to integrate, spend time in nature and outside is never going to change but the way it looks - undoubtedly is. It will be so exciting to explore new opportunities how can we design our environment.

Generally speaking, this area of design is the closest to my heart for above mentioned personal reasons. And the other hand it is my dream to work with people, for people, and in a human way.

In the end, I have to add that one of the photos which I took from Poland showed me when I was a child. I always take it with me to remember how is to be a child and not to forget to be positive in everyday life. Kids are the best designers - nothing limits their imagination. It only remains for me to look for a new design future about (fun) P L A C E S.
